Connect CompanyFabric to Muse

Muse connects to outside services through custom connectors built from an OpenAPI spec. CompanyFabric publishes one, so your Muse can call any model in the CompanyFabric library, Claude, GPT, Gemini, DeepSeek and the rest, through one API key, and ask quick yes/no or classification questions through the decisions endpoint. Give that key a monthly cap and Muse cannot spend past it.

Step by step

Setup

    Create an API key at companyfabric.com/dashboard/keys. Label it "Muse" so its spend is easy to find, and set a monthly cap: the most this key may spend in a calendar month. At the cap, calls fail with key_budget_exceeded instead of drawing more from your balance.

    In Muse, add a custom connector and give it the CompanyFabric spec URL:

    When Muse asks how to authenticate, paste the key you just created (it starts with sk-cf-). It is sent as a Bearer token on every call.

    Tell Muse how to use the connection. Paste this as a message:

    Connect CompanyFabric using https://companyfabric.com/openapi.json. Use my API key when asked. Use the model companyfabric/auto unless I name one, and call /v1/decisions for yes/no or classification questions.

    Check spend: every call Muse makes shows up in your CompanyFabric usage feed under the Muse key, with its exact cost.

Which model will Muse use?

companyfabric/auto unless you name another. It picks a suitable model per request and bills at that model's rate. Ask Muse to use any id from companyfabric.com/models, for example anthropic/claude-sonnet-5-5, and it will pass that instead.

What does it cost?

Requests are billed per token from your prepaid CompanyFabric balance, at the prices on each model page; every response reports its exact cost. CompanyFabric adds no charge for connecting Muse. The monthly cap on the key is the ceiling.

What can Muse call?

Three operations: chat completions (any text or code model), the model list with prices, and decisions (typed yes/no, choice and score answers with probabilities). The spec contains nothing that can read your account, change keys or move money.
